Event Wellbeing Day & Week

Two different dates – Two different purposes – One shared mission.

Event Wellbeing Day

📅 February every year, the Wednesday of International Confex
🔎 Focus: Industry-wide awareness & advocacy

Event Wellbeing Day is the annual global call-to-action for the events industry. It’s the moment where everyone, organisers, venues, suppliers, freelancers, students, pauses long enough to recognise the real wellbeing pressure our sector is under.

It exists to:

  • Spotlight mental health and sensory wellbeing in events
  • Highlight systemic issues (burnout culture, long hours, overwhelm)
  • Champion neuroinclusive, people-first event design
  • Mobilise the industry to take responsibility for safer, healthier practice

Think of it as the big awareness moment, the industry’s collective wake-up call.

🌟 Event Wellbeing Week

📅 June every year, the week of The Meetings Show
🔎 Focus: Practical action, education & behaviour change

Event Wellbeing Week is the deep-dive campaign. A full seven days designed to move people from awareness into action.

Each day has its own theme:

  • Prevention & Planning
  • Lived Experience
  • What Good Looks Like
  • Your Wellbeing Matters
  • Community & Connection
  • Rest & Reset

It’s packed with:

  • Toolkits
  • Micro-actions
  • Guides for organisers, exhibitors and attendees
  • SensoryCalm™ and SensoryGarden activations
  • Workplace challenges
  • Webinars and lived-experience conversations

Event Wellbeing Week is where people do the work, not just talk about it.

🧠 How they work together

  • Event Wellbeing Day sparks the conversation.
  • Event Wellbeing Week builds the skills, behaviours and culture to make real change.

One shines a spotlight, the other builds the infrastructure.

Both reflect the heart of EventWell: practical wellbeing, grounded in neuroinclusive design, lived experience and evidence, not tokenism.
